The mill is about 5 miles away. The wagon canít go very fast, since the road is full of rocks and ruts. So it will take about two hours to get there.
At the mill, the wheat will be ground into flour. There will be much more wheat than the family needs, so Father will sell some to the miller, and then the miller will sell it to people in the town. People in towns donít grow their own food, but they want to eat, too.
Henry thinks about the new crop of wheat that is starting to grow in the fields by the stream. Next fall, if all goes well, there will be another load of wheat to take to the mill.
While Henry and Father are on their way to the mill, Sarah is busy at home.
