Sarah Talks to Rowdy

Sarah is a little sad that she isn’t going along with Father to the mill, OR with Mother to visit Mistress Abrams.  Rowdy is looking a little sad, too.  “Don’t be sad, Rowdy,” says Sarah, “Who wants to go to the mill, when we have too much important work to do here!”  Rowdy doesn’t look very convinced, but he wags his tail a little.

There is a lot to do, so Sarah doesn’t think about being sad for long.  With Grandmother, she looks after the fire and helps care for the baby...
