The cows get their breakfast next. They are very different from the horses… their ears flap at the sides of their heads, and their noses are firm and wet, not velvety like the horses. They have horns, and each foot is two hooves instead of one. But in one way, they ARE like the horses: they eat hay, too. Henry fills the cows’ manger, but he doesn’t stand to watch them eat. Mother and Sarah will be coming soon to do the milking.
