Calf Training

After the animals have all been watered, Henry takes the calves out.  He works with them almost every day.

The calves have a lot to learn.  First they have to learn their names: Rock and Lion.  Then, they need to learn how to wear their yoke, and how to walk together at the same speed.  They need to learn that “get up!” means start walking, and that “whoa!” means stop walking, and that “gee!” means turn right, and “haw” means turn left.

They need to learn to back up when Henry tells them to, and they need to learn to pull the cart and heavier things, like logs and stones.
